About a little extra
Meet Emily
As the founder of 'a little extra', I am dedicated to providing quality supportive services to my clients to empower their autonomy and improve their quality of life.
I'm a New Jersey native currently living on the seacoast of New Hampshire. After completing my bachelor's degree in 2006, I began a career in the public sector, serving children and families for the State of NJ for 13 years. Following a professional opportunity for my husband at the University of New Hampshire, we settled in Durham in 2019. We have two elementary aged children, and a doggie named Gigi.
After spending a few years at home raising my own little people, serving my community has continued to call to my heart. I sought opportunities to work with seniors this time around and in 2025, while working closely with one special person, I realized how much joy there is to be found in providing home-based services for active and independent seniors. Just "a little extra" can make a difference in people's quality of life!
